Edge Hill University and Coutts Information Services have developed a new workflow ('directional placement') which has turned traditional ordering on its head. All University libraries face the challenge of sourcing and managing reading lists, keeping them current and providing students with the correct core reading material at point of need. This new method of managing lists and ordering will ensure that books get to shelves even faster than before.

Session 8 : Parallel Session: Accelerated Acquisitions. Janet Allen, ULRLS and Heather Sherman, Dawson Books.

Senate House are making use of the on-line ordering systems offered by Dawson Books to speed up their acquisitions workflow by using a single process to check title details and create order records.
